I also find the seats more uncomfortable than the full Pinnacle seats, and the GATx series has great legroom in 2D and 2F. I can't quite point to the exact issue with the ex BMI seating, and it's not a big problem on shorter services I admit. But it's a bit of a pain in the lower back, so I often find myself wriggling around the seat trying to get comfortable.
