What are we counting as a 'city'? Obviously Tokyo, Bangkok etc but is Florence (300,000 population) a city? If so, then Chiang Mai (130,000 population) in which case 137 Pillars House and Anantara Chiang Mai (and Four Seasons on the outskirts)? Also potentially opens up a huge amount of Chinese cities but prominently certainly something like Amanfayun in Hangzhou.
Also, Lodhi New Delhi would be another one for consideration.
Banyan Tree Seoul - anyone been? Loose consideration for this one and Banyan Tree Shanghai (didn't get a chance to check this out) and Banyan Tree Macau if Aman Tokyo (city tower block) could be considered.
Banyan Tree Seoul is horrible. An older Korean hotel converted to a Banyan Tree with low ceilings. If you like your bedroom with an odd giant bathtub smack in there or want to do laps in slightly longer pool-ish tubs in the suites. These "open" pool tubs make the rooms get incredibly humid too.
The property is somewhat secluded being on Namsan mountain and nothing else around. Does have a giant outdoor pool though.
