There seem to be standards for Hampton, HGI, and Homewood Suites but the standards are what they should offer at a minimum. Seems like if they want to go bigger, they are allowed to. As far as your fav, I've stayed in a lot of HGIs in the US and I've never seen smoked salmon. Some of the DTs offer it, but it's inconsistent.
