Is it OK to bring a pool cue on board, packed in a roll-aboard? I am flying BOS-SFO-NRT-SIN on UA.

(I did a search but did not find any reference to pool cues. It is a gift for a friend. I can check the bag but prefer not to.)


edit: I should have checked the TSA website first, sorry. A pool cue is ok in checked baggage but not as carry-on. In it goes with the cricket bat and lax stick. )
