it is only because of this built in profit margin that the SPG AMEX card can be so good.
If AMEX charged 0.07% and had no annual fee, my friends, the SPG AMEX (if one existed at all) would look very different. Something more like what my crappy HiltonHonors MasterCard looks like -- takes me a year to get one night at the lowest level Hampton Inn around......
