BA claims to fill 800,000 seats per annum through Avios.

Given 45m pax carried annually, this means an average of 1.8% of flights are paid with Avios.

By contrast, AA discloses that 6.1% of seats are paid through air miles.

I have read a few threads on this forum about lack of Avios flights availability but a factor of 3.5 to 1 in favour of AA seems a lot.
