This is not about "justification", or about crying how the class kids did not play with me ...

This is about highlighting pretty blatant behavior, and yes I am not here to say "hell to SQ" - no single employee can do that to a brand ...

Rather ... the intent of my post, is to source feedback, and see if it was one off or others have observed similar things as well!

have a good day!

Thanks so much for coming back to post.

I know you didn't say anything to the FA. My point was that if you felt her service was less that what you expect from SQ, you should have taken the opportunity to say so.

And it was me saying if we flew together, I guarantee you would be asked first, not because of your status with an airline or on paper, but because human behavior - that of crew, others in the service industry, and our own - all hold cultural bias. It's the way it is and anyone who pretends otherwise is not living in the real world. And to be clear, I am neither suggesting it is you, or me or even the FA who served you. It's a factor of human behavior - and not to be confused with racism IMHO.

I understand your intent was to source feedback as your question was clearly the last line of your OP.

I think perhaps had you stated your OP by saying you were looking for feedback and then provide your experience, some might have interpreted your post a bit differently.

And none of us, I think, are suggesting you not fly SQ. What some of us are saying is, your experience is not unique, there may have been an assumption made by the FA, and IMHO, you could have stepped and told her you have not ordered vegetarian and yes, you'd like some champagne.

I can't tell you how many airlines I fly, in Business and in First (and not the U.S. version of domestic "first"), where FAs sometimes skip past me to serve someone who has higher status (if it shows on the PIL) or someone they "perceive" is more important.

Still wishing you happy travels.
