BOAC 1961
My fathers first ticket to New York. This was as far as I know " the ticket".

I have another non BA ( BOAC) from 1955 which was likewise a letter, but this related to a charter. I have a 1966 one to Mexico ( non BA - Mexico Grand Prix with Jim Clark and Colin Chapman who were friends as father was a Lotus dealer ) which is also a letter, so I assume tickets per se were introduced later.
