Use TIMATIC (such as United's: https://www.united.com/web/en-us/app...aspx?i=TIMATIC) and plug in details of your soon-to-expire passport. Carefully enter AMS and DXB as transit stops, and see if they require a validity period even just to transit. A while ago an Indian-American family has been "burned" flying from US to India because a European carrier's stopover country requires 3 months. (I forgot which thread.)
