We’re travelling back from TPA to LGW on a 4-class 777, practically sold out in Club. 5 Mar.
We have good seats in Club, but for an overnight flight would love to move to FLUB.
At the moment (post T-72) Expert Flyer shows all seats bar 2 bassinets taken in Club, but all of FLUB blocked out. So FLUB will almost certainly open.
We’re both silver.
1) Am I right in thinking that unless the seats miraculously appear on MMB or online check-in we can’t do anything till we get to the airport? e.g. phoning up BA is pointless.
2) Also - in this situation would you avoid checking in until the airport? Or is it better to check in and not print boarding pass?
3) Do the check-in staff understand this situation? I’d imagine they’re contracted, not BA staff.
Thanks!
