It's better from a legroom perspective, but worse I think from a seat perspective. The type of seats actually changes half way down the plane (just before Row 16 I think) and they look to be very basic seats with no headrests. Also there is seat power in the forward seats, and you might find this important.
I was in Row 9 this morning. It was snug for legroom (I'm 6' 3"), but at least I had the moveable headrest. I would have been in trouble without it!
Well looks like I don't have to worry about flying the densified a321 as there was a last minute aircraft swap (which also means I went from an exit row to a regular window
