Never happened to me in almost 4.7MM on United. I’ve been given a couple of complimentary or operational upgrades at the gate but this is exceedingly rare. This hasn’t happened since I hit 4MM and received LT GS status, came close the other day flying from ICN to SFO but it didn’t happen.
