I booked a hotel in San Diego that does not list a resort fee anywhere on the website. However, the confirmation email I got does list a resort fee of $25 a day. Besides the fact that this is illegal (false advertising), what recourse do I have? (Side note: how this hotel is even considered a 'resort' is beyond me).
I'm not calling out the hotel just yet because then they have a chance to fix the error before my arrival. I plan on walking the manager through the booking process and showing him/her that the fee is not called out anywhere.
