Good advice. I'll try this terminology with Priceline and Expedia. If I learn that their equivalent departments are called something different, I'll report back.
I think the only way to learn the ins and outs of OTA social engineering is to just practice/suffer a lot.

Haha. I know exactly what you mean. I've been around the block a number of times with fares like this. When I saw it and started investigating, I could just *feel* that the fare was in the process of being shut down. The CX website was no longer offering it and even the OTAs were sporadic in their search results. Booking with an OTA is always an awful idea. And I knew that. But a deal is a deal.
