I think you will like it. As I mentioned upthread, the main reason I chose it for my mom last year was because it was right on Line 10 (I live and work on Line 10). But, I learned that the hotel itself is pretty decent, and the staff members were extremely nice to my mom (she was travel weary during her visit, due to our preceding days exploring Hangzhou); they went out of their way to make sure she was feeling good.

When you're there, be sure to try out the room service robot, even if you don't actually need an extra towel.

As for the neighborhood, it honestly isn't that cool. On the other hand, you're close to the Bund, AND Line 10 can get you to the heart of the French Concession within 10 minutes.
