I thought I knew the answer but my experience last week is showing me told me something different. Saw multiple occasions of #2 clearing first

I believe that it's supposed to be Status and then EQD. Booked class (other than basic economy) shouldn't be considered until being one of the very last criteria considered, very unlikely two people would have the same 12 month rolling EQD on the same flight.
