I'm considering picking up a few hotel cards soon, and I was eyeing the Chase cards. I'm already Marriott gold (from challenge) so I'm not getting the card for status, I just want a better reward rate, and the free nights that come with the card.

Optimally, I'd like to have the Ritz card since I think it has significantly better benefits than the Amex Bonvoy Brilliant - god these names suck), so applying for both the Chase Marriott card makes sense. The problem is that I'm currently at 4/24, so I can get at most 1 Chase card.

I've heard that Hyatt is a good loyalty program since it has an excellent points transfer rate with Chase UR, and I think I like their hotel selection a little bit better than Marriott's in Asia (I live in the US, but I take trips around 3-4 times a year?).

Anyway, I'm deciding between getting the World of Hyatt card or the new Chase Marriott card (and PC after a year). My main apprehension with getting the Chase Marriott is that if I just apply for the Amex Marriott card, 5/24 won't matter and I can get both it and the Hyatt card. The only problem is that the Ritz card is significantly better than the new Amex one.

I'd appreciate your thoughts! (Also long time lurker, this is my first post so apologies on if this was the wrong forum to post in.)
