Just went to a Middle of Nowhere Mid West Wally and asked for a $990 MO with split payment. CSR said no problem, but second CSR working the second register said she thought I needed to hand in my DL. I took it out, but, of course, the machine did not ask for ID. Second CSR told first CSR that then she tought all $1,000 MO requried ID
as she just sold one the day before.
Of course I played it dumb ... so it is still the MOs from $999.12 to $1,000, the ones that will require ID for that specific store.
