So an update:
Went to another Hertz location and they said the only way they could do it was if it was an insurance self pay (so if the car was being repaired due to a claim, but he was paying). Obviously that wasn't why he needed a car. Basically, they started the process and were asking information such as the name of our mechanic, address and phone number. Very odd to me. Now what I am wondering is, will they contact the repair shop? Because obviously the repair shop is not going to have a clue and will realize that my son's car is not being worked on. This benefit seems like it shouldn't even be listed.
