This looks like a “I didn’t get things my way!” rant with a DYKWIA thrown in and almost zero merit.

Let me try to respond to your complaints:
1. They’ve been named “best airline” for years now and continue to win accolades. I don’t think the 2018 winnings have affected them so much.

2. They and indeed no airline is obligated to offer you an opportunity to bid for upgrades no matter how many seats are going empty. Also bids are done with cash not miles. It seems like you are upset because you could not use your 50k miles. The problem was that you did not read up and/or understand how miles upgrades work. It’s very simple. You can upgrade with miles if there are upgrade seats available which is the same as the award seat inventory. To upgrade you needed to check if there was award seat availability on date of travel, book an upgrade eligible fare class and then upgrade through the website or phone. There is no bidding involved here.

3. MCT between T1, T2, T3 at SIN is 50 minutes I think. And it is generally possible to do this. If you felt the connection time was too short why did you book that ticket? Having a connection time of less than an hour anywhere means you have to run. If you’re not prepared to run... don’t book that flight and then complain you had to run.

4. Why do you have the expectation that SQ will allow you to pay for extra baggage with points. If you bothered to read their baggage rules you’d know otherwise. https://www.singaporeair.com/en_UK/i...ggage-charges/

5. Food & cleanliness - that’s a personal opinion and could be. I’ve generally found SQ to be fairly good most of the time with both these issues. Food I’ve had an issue with a few times though. Did you BTC?

Based on whatever you said, I think you’re an in-experienced traveller who is upset that they’re stuck with 50k miles they can’t use. It’s only because you didn’t do your homework. I’m not seeing any instance of how SQ has either deceived or failed on their commitment to you. They might have disappointed you on the food though.
