On an oddly related note to the original topic, I just noticed that WestJet is charging different amounts for seat selection on the same route, depending on the direction. Eastbound seats (YYC-YYZ) are a couple of dollars cheaper than Westbound (YYZ-YYC) on the same plane (787).

Go figure.
