This flight is a 1am departure, so a little off from the usual meal flow. Dinner was served right after departure, but they did a single tray service without soup. I kind of wish they would do a full meal - the abbreviated one encourages the wrong sleep schedule for acclimating to Asia time. Judging by how many people conked out immediately and then were banging around the cabin in the second half of the journey, there were going to be a lot of jet lagged passengers from this flight.

I had an advance tip from another FTer that the cod was good, and that definitely was great advice this direction: I’d wholeheartedly recommend it without hesitation.

Midflight omelet was an airplane omelet. The pumpkin rice cakes were a little out there but definitely the more interesting option (and also less food, which could be a pro or con depending on your appetite).

l chose the bulgogi for pre-arrival and it was acceptable. The banchan were only okay, though; in general, DL needs to go back to the drawing board on their Korean catering, IMHO.

Espresso machine was present on this flight, although it took the poor flight attendants like 30 minutes with the red service manual to figure out how to get it to work. There was no running water at all on this flight in any of the lavatories, so that might have been part of the challenge. But they got it working eventually!
