Ms. LincolnJKC and I have several (unopened) ceremonial bottles from international flights from FAs congratulating us on various milestones. (Makes us feel awkward because neither of us actually like brut champagne but it's rude to refuse a gift) -- MEL-LAX we wound up carrying the bottle "naked" through customs/immigration since neither of us had a large carry-on and our checked luggage was stuffed and didn't want to try repacking until we were landside.

Got some odd looks on that one, and an amused CBP officer.

My 35th birthday is coming up in May and I think I think we're going to host a party to serve nothing but champagne.
Are these recents experiences? I can tell you that on every Polaris flight I have been on in 2018, they ran out of champagne, as early as during the initial dinner service to mid-way through the flight.

They will sometimes try to pass off the (horrible) PDB “sparkling wine” as champagne later in the flight, but throughout 2018, not a single flight of mine landed with any remaining champagne.

One FA even encouraged me to write in saying they only board 2 bottles per flight.
