If you compare Marriott to, say, IHG in Bangkok it's almost comical - IHG has the IC and the Hotel Indigo, then well below this the CP Lumpini Park. In the same segment above CP Lumpini Park where IHG has two hotels, Marriott has the St. Regis, SGS, Athenee, W, JWM, Marriott Surawongse, MMQP, Marriott Sukhumvit, Le Meridien and Le Meridien Suvarnabhumi!
With the SR, I don't know that an RC would add anything, particularly given the lack of elite benes at those properties.

Marriott/SPG also blows away Hilton. Hyatt arguably second best now, with the new HR Sukhumvit.
