Istanbul’s new airport will not become fully operational on March 3, 2019, as had been previously announced.
Turkey’s Hurriyet newspaper reports that the opening is now scheduled for April 7.
A soft opening was held in October 2018, but the full opening was
postponed until January, and
later March.
Airport operator IGA has not yet responded to a request for comment, but a source involved with the project confirmed to
Business Traveller that there would be a delay. IGA says it will release more information soon.
