The interesting thing I see is that Marriott seems to confirm Plat status was achieved again 12/24/2011. So 50+ nights were achieved on that date for 2011? I think this is where Marriott is hung up. You spent the year of 2011 as Gold, not Plat. Sure, you qualified for Plat but not until the very end of the year. This could be the issue. Marriott may only be counting full or nearly full years of status.

I can't say I'm an expert on how Marriott counts lifetime years. I was a Marriott person until the merger and had already achieved Marriott Lifetime Plat (not Titanium) before the merger.

Good luck. Keep us posed.

Thank you! This is what I have been saying all along. The issue is 2011. They confirmed it with me. 2009 is not in question either. The question I have kept on asking, but have not been given an solid answer is how did SPG define having earned Platinum in that year. How Marriott counts it now is (should be) irrelevant. My SPG Dashboard went up an earned Platinum year for 2011 at the time. I had no reason to believe there was a reason for anyone to revise what was presumably earned at that time.
