turns out odds were 100% that I would see it again

the lost and found , plugged it in and then the find my phone app displayed my mobile number

I fly out tonight to Newcastle and it will be waiting at terminal 1 baggage services

Good on you Qantas!!!! gold star on the fridge for them!!
