Oh yes I remember sometimes the smoking section would go further forward in the centre seat sections so if you were at the rear of the non smoking section on the window sides it was brutal. I remember agreeing to sit in the smoking section on a YYZ-LHR flight in 1988 so my girlfriend could have a couple of cigarettes and having the woman beside her just light one cigarette after another have one puff on them and then let them smoke into our faces until they got down to the filter. Even she agreed we'd sit in the non smoking section on the way back after that

Back on the liveries it will be nice to see a 744 in the Landor livery. BA really was on the upswing during that period
