The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami

There's very little information on these hotels on FT, so hoping someone can share some insights? We are looking to go during last week of October; and would love as much sun as possible, as our stay would mostly be R&R by the pool.
If you wanted to see a different Florida then I would suggest a stay on the Gulf of Mexico (Naples) as it is a very different beach than the Atlantic (Miami). There is nothing special about Naples, it's nice if you like retirement communities, but the gulf waters are calmer and the beaches are white. The drive across Aligator Alley might be fun if you stop at a few of the local crab shacks.
