UK/Taiwan dual national question (passport validity)
Not sure where this belongs as it’s a specific problem that applies to dual nationals and could also apply to others travelling between 2 countries that they are citizens of. My young daughter’s passport (British) runs out in October but we plan to travel from the UK (where we live) to Taiwan in July. She will therefore have less than 6 months left on her passport when we travel. In my case as a British national I would need to renew my passport before travelling but my daughter is also a national of Taiwan and has a Taiwanese passport that is valid until next year. Does she need to renew her UK passport? Will there be any issues getting into Taiwan or back into the UK? Of course we will be using the UK passport when entering/leaving the UK and the Taiwanese passport when entering/leaving Taiwan but the flight ticket will be booked under only one of these.
We would be travelling with a stop in either Amsterdam or Dubai if this matters.
[EDIT] Or should I just save myself any potential trouble and renew it now?
Thanks!
