You know, I thought exactly the same of Lufthansa a few years back. But the whole germanwings Eurowings thing seemed to work out for them, I think. I much preferred having LH and LH Regional in and out of DUS, but that's in the past now. The Air France fripperies at the time seemed better than those of Lufthansa. I mean, having Régional, BritAir and Airliner as separate airlines was a bit senseless, so rebranding them into one carrier was logical. LH seemed to create a lot more small airlines - germanwings, Eurowings, Eurowings Europe, and now they have LGW in the mix, grace à Air Berlin.
