What did she have to explain? All you have to do is ask them to do an EDID based SIM swap, following the directions in the reddit thread. If they don't know how to do that or won't do it, hang up and try again. Don't bother calling support.
You weren't asking them for help doing it, were you? It's not officially supported but works if you just follow the instructions in the reddit thread, which IMO, are very simple and straightforward.
