I guess I could do this, but by his point, I dont think there is anyhting they can do, they failed to ameliorate the problem while they could and now the damage is done, I can live without the $300 and simply want nothing more to do with this property and the chain in general.
I'd still move forward with the chargeback, and also write to the
President of American hotel operations. Both actions would hopefully bring scrutiny on the "walked" process and the property itself. They may even offer some good will gesture in addition to your $300.
I also will add that it's pretty poor of AAvacations to side with the property. I don't see how a dinner compensates for $300 worth of room rate and the inconvenience, not to mention the drop in quality.
