When to leave my hotel at midtown Manhattan to catch flight 7 pm from EWR?
I have 7 pm flight on Monday March 8th from EWR terminal B. What time should I leave hotel midtown Manhattan to get to the airport on time (considering usual traffic, security checks...)? Travelling light without luggage, so connection is not a problem.

My hotel is InterContinental Barclay.

Options I found:
- direct shuttle bus from Grand Central Terminal - might get stuck in traffic jam
- metro to Penn station/train/airtrain - less convenient but should run on time

How much time to plan for security checks? Of course I would plan some contingency to be on safe side, however I dont want to spend 3 hours in lounge waiting for flight - better to spend it in the city.
