Things used to be pretty loose in Thailand in being able to walk into a pharmacy like Siam Drug and buy Valium or Ativan for maybe B5 a pill and in the foils (am thinking 1990s and early aughts here). They clamped down but a few street vendors on Sukhumvit got the same product (plus Klonopin & Xiemed) and would sell at a big markup with most things in the foils. Never on open display, though. I think that got cracked down on as well and the little signs disappeared and now it's the ED meds and various things that are supposed to work in that area. A friend liked something with a name like black ant until he did a Google search and there were all kinds of horror stories about it.
