So I have never seen this before but been on my fair share of delayed flights and am always at the airport for the appointed time.

Today I was sent a text that the flight is delayed, but for the first time I can remember the BP on the app has been updated for the delay.

I would much rather wait at my hotel (in my room) than sit in the lounge at the airport. I can see the plane has gone mx on the arriving flight and has not yet left SFO. Currently at a 30 mins delay but can forsee a longer delay and perhaps missed connection for my second flight tonight. I have no luggage and it is 10-30 mins from the airport (depending upon traffic).

My question is can I rely on the text and updated BP or should I still get to the airport for the original departure?
