Alas, the One Day Travelcard is no longer GBP 2.80. Heathrow T1 and T1/T2/T3 are all in Zone 6, so you would have to get a Zones 1-6 One Day Travelcard, which is GBP 4.70. It is slightly cheaper to buy the Zones 2-6 One Day Travelcard, at GBP 3.50, but only if you are not going into central London.

The big disadvantage is that the One Day Travelcard cannot be used before 9:30 AM, although there are ways of getting around it.
