its to the point that boarding with no flight crew doesn’t really save any time at all, as those preflight checks often are longer than the boarding process when everyone is ready to go at the gate.

I’d rather not board, especially when it’s still unknown when the crew will get there in the first place.

its not like the flight can push back immediately when the crew gets there.
