OP, the mileage is minimal, aside form donating or getting a magazine subscription, you could also try to see if you can some activity on it that will reset the expiration clock, thus giving you extra time to perhaps accumulate more miles for something meaningful. I believe awardwallet has an option where if you post something in one of their blog section, you will get a nominal amount of miles. Try it for both accounts.
