Do I have to pay an additional 20.000 Miles for the return of the colleague? Has anybody some experiences of a similar situation? What is the best solution?
Well, I think we have established that the SEN needs to accompany the companion. AFAIK they will not charge you 20K mls (I guess you come up with 20K because the two of you flew together to PEK, so only the return counts) but 40K mls. I had that issue when flying SIN - FRA - SIN on a C-award where my companion wanted to fly back earlier. Back then (2003) the SEN & M&M people in Germany told me that they would charge me the full mls for her award ticket (meaning I would have to cough up the other 50%). With some shifting around of schedules I managed to fly back with her (on SQ not LH - guess was my lucky day ^ ) so the issue was resolved. Not sure whether that has changed or whether I just got bad advise from LH M&M , but be prepared and get accurate info before traveling.

Cheers ...
