just to provide an update from the last post here (2016) !

1. Car park system has changed, only Diamond has free parking which INCLUDES Premium Parking (self park right by the front door). Gold is RM4.00 , and regular guests RM10.00 flat rate per day.

2. New room service menu. Downgrade for me as prices have increased RM10.00 and also extra tray charge of RM5.00. Menu size has also decreased, tried the nasi goreng which used to be great value but definitely has gone downhill in value and taste.

3. New children pool by the main pool, strangely pool towels CANNOT be brought back to room.

4. No other refurb but rooms and public area still clean ...thought definitely showing their age.

5. all day happy hour at the bar, probably the cheapest place to have draft beer in Kuching at RM11 per half pint.

6. Cocktail hour (previously 6 - 8:30pm) is now 5pm - 7pm.

Stay here about once a quarter, and have seen some changes being made and quickly changed (ie CHARGEABLE cloth laundry bags of a local charity @ RM25 which within months was back to the standard FOC Hilton branded plastic type , Parking used to be chargeable for all guests , certain cutlery choices ... )

Fresh juice now available in main restaurant, steak house is still good (and good value) and also in my experience almost guaranteed upgrade to suites from base room as Diamond. For Kuching, this is still the place to stay.
