If you are visiting from overseas, cash fares are actually very competitive - check out JAL’s Japan Explorer Pass. If you care about TPs, I think it’s better value than an Avios redemption.
A cash fare from ITM to HND will be just over £50. You can (pretty reliably) upgrade this on the day to J for only 1000 yen (about £7), earning 40 TPs. That’s less than £1.50/TP on a flight that you want to take anyway (ie not a TP run).
