Not necessarily. This is a weather waiver, not a cancellation. No such thing as a WW at LH and many people experience this problem. LH simply won't force space because the UA flight still shows as operating.
Exactly. Several agents refused to allow me to change routing that included LH. Finally found one that said "yes we can do that", then contacted rate desk to be sure and came back to me with "we're not supposed to, but we're going to force it through for you." So all's well that end's well, but good to know for the future that, in general, partner segments do *not* quality for weather waiver!
