AA isn't very clear about this, but are you allowed to dine at the FFD, leave, and come back later for drinks? I was told I wasn't allowed back into the MIA FFD recently (when I came back in after visiting the outdoor TGI Fridays) but would be allowed back in "just this one time."
I've always been allowed back in regardless of whether I went to the FL or left it entirely. If the host or hostess ever gave me a hard time, I'd just go back to the check-in desk and get another FFD invite card.
