I have a fairly long business trip coming up, and my more senior colleague insisted on booking and paying for both of our Marriott hotel rooms (to my displeasure). I know that the person who makes and pays for the reservation will get the stay/spend points on both rooms but only elite night credit for the room they actually stay in. My question is, can I still get elite night credit for my stay, even if I am not getting the points? Would I do this just by adding my name and number when checking in?
