Yes everyone is a target if in the area of the water parties on the street. Soi 11 gets crazy especially from a few of the open air bars on the street there. You didn't say what level of Status you have. When I was at Four Points I booked 2 rooms, and paid the extra person charge on the 2nd because it had three people/adults. I might have tried to avoid it, but I also got a breakfast rate for that room which was pretty good and I didn't want the people staying in the room to run in to any hassles. I think you are doing the right thing not paying for 3 people with your 4 year old as the 3rd. The policies on children often aren't very clear. I stayed at the Marriott in Hua Hin a few nights once and had two children in tow. During the reservation ran in to similar issues, but in the end it wasn't a problem for the young children to stay for free. That was a few years ago and policies/fees seem to be changing a little about the extra people though. What is your plan for breakfast? What is your status level with Marriott?
