IMHO, I would have reported it to the manager of the hotel at check-out. While not the best experience, I can certainly see how this might have been a one-time occurrence (i.e. a staff member didn't show up).

To call corporate after the stay seems a little excessive for this type of an issue, unless it was recurring.
