When one uses the AMEX Global Card Transfer feature when moving countries, are you eligible to get the new country-specific sign-up bonuses? I have an AMEX platinum charge card in my home country (South Africa), but I will be moving to the United States. I was wondering if I would be eligible for the sign-up bonus on the US AMEX platinum equivalent card if I go through the Global Card Transfer route.
