Log into your BAEC account, select "Pay with Avios" from the drop-down menu on the booking engine, and see what you are offered in terms of flights. You may see nonstops on both BA and CX, as well as connections on other carriers.

You should also check to see what airline transfer partners your particular Amex program has. It's possible that a CX nonstop would cost fewer points and/or less cash by redeeming from a program other than BAEC.
