I switched form southwest mostly because of this. Too many times I was stuck in EWR trying to get home. If it wasn’t winter weather it was rain/storms. It seemed like very bad storm rolled through the NYC area when I was flying. I was either spending my whole day at the airport waiting or stuck trying to scramble for lodging when they cancelled the flight. It always seemed like SW was quick to cancel flights and I’d watch all the other planes still taking off. So far only one delay and 1 cancel this year with 15 flights with delta. 1 because a bolt broke in the wing flap and the cancel was because ORD shut down the runways due to snow.

I did get companion pass last year through end of this year so will be taking a few flights with SW still
